We are pleased that you have chosen to work with Pat Taylor and Associates, Inc. and want your experience with us to be a positive one. To ensure that things run smoothly, please read the following information carefully:
A. Availability: If you are not working and available for a temporary assignment, please send us an e-mail at availability@pattaylor.com and advise us of your status. An e-mail once a week is sufficient to let us know you are available. Conversely, if you accept a position elsewhere and are no longer available for work with us, please let us know so we may update our records.
B. On assignment:
- Arrive on time. If you are going to be absent or late, call us immediately at (202)-466-5622. If possible, also contact the client to let them know your situation.
- Call us from your work station to let us know your telephone number. Keep us informed of any changes thereafter.
- Do not make or receive personal phone calls while on assignment. If you have an emergency, we can take messages for you and see that you receive them. Please ask your supervisor for permission to make phone calls and keep them to a minimum.
- Wear professional attire at all times unless otherwise instructed by your supervisor.
C. Payroll: You will receive regular wages for up to 40 hours a week. Overtime pay takes effect once you have worked over 40 hours/week (but not necessarily over 8 hours/day). You will receive one time sheet each week (with your paycheck), which must be filled out for that week's hours, signed by your supervisor, and returned to us before 5:00 the following Monday. If for some reason you cannot return your time sheet on time, you must call us before the end of the day Monday to give us your hours, then send the signed time sheet as soon as possible. Any employee who does not report his/her hours before the end of the day Monday will not be paid that week. You may mail or fax your signed time sheet to us; if you choose to fax it, please drop the original in the mail. We reserve the right to correct any computational errors employees make on time sheets and adjust their pay accordingly. Please add carefully, and don't forget to get your supervisor's signature! Please direct payroll questions to Steve Taylor, steve@pattaylor.com
